This is the booking form for 17th of October Angus Place tour.
The Spring Tour is a 2 day event promoting the benefits of the Gardens of Stone reservation proposal. The tour will contrast the natural beauty of the Lithgow region with the damage by mining to this fragile landscape.
There are 4 tours in total. You may book for one tour on each day. We ask that you book each tour individually to help with managing numbers.

The Destination Pagoda tours the wonders of the Gardens of Stone area. The proposed itinerary includes:
Twin Gully Swamp in a pre-mined site. See damage caused by mining at Carne West Swamp. Stop at Birds Rock and then Wolgan Falls - both threatened by longwall mining. Route and sites depend on road conditions.
All trips are strictly limited to 20 people due to Covid-19.
Time: 10:30 for 11:00am sharp departure. Finish 6pm.
Meet: Lithgow Visitor Information Centre carpark, 1137 Great Western Hwy, Lithgow
The tour is an outdoor activity that involves travelling to relatively isolated areas. Vehicle access is by 4WD or all wheel drive SUV. A moderate level of fitness is required.
Covid-19: please do not participate in this trip if you have had any cold or flu symptoms or are unwell on the day. Please be aware of physical distancing requirements. Maximum 4 people to a car.
- Water bottle, hat and sunscreen
- Wet weather gear
- Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea. Do not share food.
- Hand sanitiser and face masks.
- Walking shoes and 'outdoor' clothes that facilitate movement around uneven ground
- Snacks/camera and any medication that you need for a day away.

This tour involves unsealed and rough roads. 4WD or AWD cars with higher clearance are recommended.
People may require transport assistance. Please indicate whether you are able to provide transport assistance and where from.
Covid safe: a strict limit of 4 people per car is required with fewer recommended. Please do not join this event if you have an illness or symptoms of any kind.
Camping overnight on Newnes Plateau, Saturday 17 October
A limit of twenty people may camp on Saturday night on a strictly self-reliant basis.
Campers will need to provide their own water, cooking gear, food, camping equipment. This camp shall be strictly fuel stove only, so as to maintain social distancing while cooking. Multiple campfires would cause environmental damage.
A map indicating campsite location shall be emailed to the first 20 campers in the week prior to the event.
Please do not come to this event if you have an illness or symptoms of any kind.
