The Gardens of Stone Alliance brings together community organisations committed to protecting this extraordinary region for future generations. Through science, advocacy and collaboration, we work to address the major threats facing the Gardens of Stone, including the impacts of coal mining and inappropriate tourism development.
The organisations that make up the Gardens of Stone Alliance are Blue Mountains Conservation Society, Nature Conservation Council of NSW, Wilderness Australia, Lithgow Environment Group, 4nature, National Parks Association of NSW, Bushwalking NSW.
Recognition of Aboriginal Country
The Gardens of Stone region is and always has been Aboriginal land. We pay respect to the Traditional Custodians, their elders past, present and future. We acknowledge their living culture and unique and active role in the life of the region.
