Help put stronger protection for the Gardens of Stone on the political agenda before the March 2027 NSW election. Send a short, personal email to your local NSW MP asking:

Will you publicly support applying a robust Neutral or Beneficial Effect test to all mining affecting Sydney’s drinking water catchment?
Personal messages from constituents help reveal where MPs stand and demonstrate that the community expects mining projects to meet strong water-quality standards.

Find your local NSW MP:
1.    Use the NSW Parliament electorate search to find your state electorate.
2.    Identify the NSW MP representing that electorate.
3.    Open their parliamentary profile to find their email address.

Your email does not need to be long or technical. Introduce yourself as a constituent, ask the question above and briefly explain why the issue matters to you. You might say that:
•    you are concerned about mining pollution affecting the Gardens of Stone and downstream drinking-water catchments
•    water quality should be protected before pollution occurs—not managed after the damage is done
•    mining projects should meet at least the same water-quality standards as other developments
•    you would like a clear response stating whether your MP supports a robust NorBE test

Please send responses to campaigner@gardensofstone.org.au. The Alliance will use the responses to map political support, inform parliamentary advocacy and demonstrate the strength of community concern.
